“GHOST TOWN …full of life” Visit to the National Museum of Siritide in Policoro, followed by a tour of Craco, whose origins date back to the 8th century BC. Once a fief of Atendolo Sforza of Cotignola, the village is currently uninhabited due to a landslide that, in the 1970s, forced residents to relocate to the hamlet of Craco-Peschiera. The tour includes an external visit of the Ghost Town, from which you can admire the stunning landscape of the Calanchi. Since 2009, Craco has experienced a remarkable transformation: once abandoned, plundered, and neglected, it has regained new life thanks to the enhancement of local services (MEC – Emotional Museum of Craco / Art and Cinema Atelier / “Gian Maria Volontè” Culture and Cinema Palace). Today, Craco has gained national and international recognition as an exceptional location for cinema, advertising, and fashion.

HALF DAY Castelmezzano rises at an altitude of 900 meters, in the heart of the Gallipoli-Cognato Lucanian Dolomites Park, and has long been listed among the “Most Beautiful Villages in Italy.” The guided tour lasts 2 hours. The group is welcomed with an introduction to the geographical, social, and historical features of the village, presented against the splendid panorama visible from Piazza Emilio Caizzo, a natural balcony overlooking the amphitheater-shaped town. The itinerary continues with a visit to the Mother Church, Santa Maria dell’Olmo, dating back to 1544. Throughout the tour, the symbols of the Templar Order are highlighted—visible in the municipal coat of arms and in the street names. The visit winds through the characteristic narrow alleys up to the remains of the Norman Fortress, where one can admire the steps carved into the rock that once led to a Norman lookout point, from which the Gulf of Taranto can be seen. High above the Lucanian Dolomites, in the heart of Basilicata, suspended between the peaks of Castelmezzano and Pietrapertosa, visitors can experience the Flight of the Angel. This innovative attraction is an adventure immersed in nature and surrounded by an extraordinary landscape, offering the chance to discover the true soul of the region. Securely fastened in a harness and attached to a steel cable, visitors can experience the thrill of flight, gliding through a fantastic adventure—unique in Italy and globally renowned for the beauty of its scenery.
