HALF DAY Castelmezzano rises at an altitude of 900 meters, in the heart of the Gallipoli-Cognato Lucanian Dolomites Park, and has long been listed among the “Most Beautiful Villages in Italy.” The guided tour lasts 2 hours. La visita guidata dura 2 ore, il gruppo viene accolto con una introduzione sulle caratteristiche geografiche, sociali, storiche del borgo, fatta dinanzi lo splendido scenario che si può ammirare da Piazza Emilio Caizzo, balcone naturale, che si apre su un paese disposto ad anfiteatro. Il percorso continua con la visita della Chiesa Madre, Santa Maria dell’Olmo risalente al 1544. I segni dell’ordine dei templari saranno man mano oggetto della visita guidata, dallo stemma comunale, alla toponomastica delle strade.
